Angolan San Exhibition
Across the dusty plains and remote villages of southern Angola live the !Xun San; the region’s oldest inhabitants, and the quiet carriers of one of humanity’s most ancient stories. For centuries, their songs have echoed through the trees, their hands have shaped the land, and their wisdom has guided life in harmony with nature. Yet, for too long, the world has largely forgotten them.
In June 2025, the !Khwa ttu Heritage Team visited six !Xun communities, bringing back not just images and words, but living testimonies of resilience and hope. !Khwa ttu is now sharing these stories through the Angolan San exhibition, a homecoming of voices long silenced and a tribute to identity, endurance, and belonging.
Visitors will have the chance to witness the enduring strength of a people who have always been there, and experience an exhibition which bridges borders and hearts. A powerful reminder that the San are not relics of the past; they are living relatives that are still shaping Southern Africa’s soul.
The exhibition is now open and walk-in tickets can be obtained on site for R115. Groups of 10+ should contact bookings@khwattu.org or 022 492 2998
