Winning Gold at the Global Responsible Tourism Awards

We’re thrilled to share that we have won Gold in the 2025 International Centre for Responsible Tourism (ICRT) Global Awards for Increasing Local Sourcing and Creating Shared Value. The Awards celebrate changemakers around the world who are redefining what responsible and regenerative tourism means, and we’re privileged to stand alongside incredible initiatives from Indonesia, Tanzania, Turkey, and Malaysia. 

Winning gold is a recognition of our ongoing commitment to preserving San heritage, empowering our community, and caring for the land. Every choice we make, from how we source food to how we share stories of the San, aims to be rooted in respect, sustainability, and shared value. 

As Professor Harold Goodwin, Chair of the Judging Panel, noted, “responsible tourism is about making better places for people to live in and visit”, and we’re honoured that !Khwa ttu has been noted for its mission to achieve this. A huge thank you to the judges, Awards organisers and every wonderful human who has contributed to this recognition.
